Underworld Delivery/冥界邮递员

Death is a topic that exists in all civilisations, but different civilisations have different interpretations of the afterlife. Differences in civilisations and beliefs have created unique views on life and death across civilisations. Coincidentally, the afterlife journeys of many civilisations start with rivers, and crossing the river is the first step into the underworld. Crossing the river also means a change in the state of life and ‘can’t look back’.

This project starts from this point and designs and produces a 2D narrative game named ‘Underworld Delivery’. The player plays as a postman in the underworld, travelling between the underworlds of different civilisations and gradually understanding each culture's conceptions of life and death, and imagination of the afterlife by delivering items, exploring scenes, and communicating with the deceased.

死亡是所有文明都存在的话题，但不同文明对死后世界的解释并不相同。文明的和信仰的差异造就了不同文明间独特的生死观。但巧合的是，众多文明afterlife旅程是以河流开始，渡河成为了进入underworld的第一步，渡过河流也意味着生命状态的改变和“不可回头”。

本项目以此为起点，设计并制作了一款名为《Underworld Delivery》的2D叙事游戏。玩家扮演一名冥界邮递员，乘船往返于不同文明的死后世界，并通过递送物品、探索场景和与亡灵交流，逐渐了解各文化对于死亡的不同认知和对死后世界的想象。
